Sunday, 17th of April: Leaving Longreach (133km)
Back on the road...
What a nice pleasure to sleep again in a real bed. Even I woke up at 3 in the morning and could not good sleep again, I had slept well and stood up at 7h15 for breadfast. Hmmm scrambled eggs with ham, Muesli and good coffee! :-)

Saturday 16th of April: To Longreach (92km)
What a day full of up and downs!
Yesterday night, after writing the blog and during preparing my dinner, the sky was just beautiful. Unfortunately not on the pictures: Dark blue sky full of rain, dark brown earth and in between at the horizont a cloud free section of an intense orange... magnificant!

Friday, 15th of April: Passing Stonehenge (129km)
Not perfect wind...but not bad
Today I changed my way: first get out of the tent and then have breakfast. It seems that I could save some time as I was on the bike already at 8h50 (ok, I woke up around 7h).

Wednesday, 13th of April : Day-off
The message of the my muscles from the last two days was clear: we need rest.
So today, I spend some good time with doing some laundry and setting up the wireless internet for the local pub...
Look forward for tomorrow... hoping the muscles are fit again! :-)
Cheers, Georges

After the nice sleep in the middle of "no-where", I as usually had some breakfast and packed everything together.

Monday, 11th of April: Eromanga to the north (103km) in direction of Windorah
Real bushman-pushbiker!

Saturday, 9th of April: Naryilco - Noccundra (120km)
The last day was quite hard - today would be worse.

Friday, 8th of April 2011: Tibooburra - Naryilco (108km)
The day started for me quite late with packing every thing, buy some rice, cookies and others stuff for the next days and having a big breakfast at TJ's, as I could put my tent for free on their camp ground the last two nights. I also filled my two spare water bags with nearly 2 x 8 liters of waters.

Thursday, 7th of April: Day off in Tibooburra
After the last days I need a day off for resting my "two engines" (two legs), do some repair at the bike (want to be sure the cut in tire is sealed and swap front and back tires) and plan the next days where to go north.
Tuesday, 5th of April: White Cliffs towards Tibooburra (123km)
Hi all!
Don't ask me why, I couldn't sleep well that night. May be because I had to much to think about and to do on the internet while it was possible to do? Any way, I went quite late to bed and woke up early.

Hi all,
fortunately, I stood up in a quite good mood - especially regarding yesterday when I was really tired.

Sunday, 3rd of April: Ivanhoe - before Wilcannia (146km)
Hi all,
after yesterday's "Day off" for my muscle I started early again: it was not clear if we (the bike rider and me) would get breakfast or not.

Saturday, 2nd of April: Day off....
Hi all,
I spent the day to let my muscles and bottom some rest. After yesterday's 172km, it was time to have break.

Friday, 1th of April 2011: Hay - Ivanhoe (172km)
What a day... a tougher one than yesterday!
As I needed to have a whole day of rest for my muscles, I wished to have it in a "town" or so. The best solution seemed to be Ivanhoe, meaning a ride of over 170km with the full load on the bike.

Thursday, 31th of March: Somewhere after Deniliquim - One tree (Hay)
Hi all,
just saw that was missing:
In short: after having packed my stuff I headed towards Hay, where I hoped to get some more information about the next days (which way etc).

Wednesday, 30th of March: Echuca - "Some-where-after-Deniliquin" (114km)
Hi Again
I started the day with some site-seeing:
Tuesday, March 29, 2011
Tuesday, 29th of March: Axeldale - Echuca
I first woke up at 4h30... jet-lagged. So after some checks on the internet, I went as sleep again, waking up very late: 10h30! :-)
Monday, March 28, 2011
Monday, 28th of March: Woodend - Lake Epalock - Axeldale (78 / 150km)
The ride was worth it. Passing the back country with different agriculture. Mainly grapes but as well cows, sheaps and even Llama... known from one of my last trips ;-) Unfortunately, they did not answer in Spanish, when I called them. in fact: they did not answer at all... ;-)

Sunday 27th of March: Melbourne - Woodend (72km)
The flight to Melbourne was the best long one I ever had: plenty of place, even possible to really sleep flat. Good menu even if a little bit slow: it took more than one hour before it was possible to get sleep. My neighbour from New Zealand was quite pleasent as well.

Saturday, 26th of March: Dubai to Melbourne....
Arrived in Dubai my wrench tool was taken: they "scan" you just after disembargment, not right before going on the plane.

With some delay...
Friday, 25th in the evening I started with the "usual" sad part: saying goodbye to my beloved ones and going to the airport.

Start is nearing: you can do something!
Hi all
time is passing fast; the start of the journey is nearing.
Since I took the decision to cross Australia by bike, some changes happened:
- Australia was visited by strong storms and big fires.
- North African country started to manifest again their leadership.
- Japan is now fighting against the results of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power.
Therefor I wanted to add a little drop and rise some funds for a nature relevant project. So I created another blog:
http://one-cent-per-kilometer.blogspot.com.
I'm very happy that my dearest Franziska was "ok" to let me go in April and for the spiritual strength she gives me. Thank you so much <3 <3 <3 :-)
