The ride was worth it. Passing the back country with different agriculture. Mainly grapes but as well cows, sheaps and even Llama... known from one of my last trips ;-) Unfortunately, they did not answer in Spanish, when I called them. in fact: they did not answer at all... ;-)
I bought some fresh Olive oil and followed the road to the north. Some up and down hills of 30m, nothing special. The weather was in the morning foggy and at the lower 10th, ending at the higher 20th (°C) and clear blue sky.
I had a breake at lake Epalock, which would have been a nice place to stay. After some chips and an ice cream, I search for a quite place. It was not allowed to camp at the lake (which has an not healthy algae) and as the lake supervisors had their house just around, I preferred to go my way. But the target was set: stop early to avoid "over heating" my self in the first days.
After another 78km (and 300m of pos. meters) I ended up in Axeldale, where I found a place behind the catholic church... And instead of writing my blog, I had to phone to Optus to understand why it was not working. After being passed to 8 different people, I had the answers. They do not want to. They wanted to sell me a monthly plan (not refunding my prepaid one). I thanked them for having lost 1 hour on the phone...
After some moskito bite and risotto, I went asleep... Just drained.
Cheers,
Georges
